1. Make a reservation for a visit to the cat shelter (Reservation - Första besök på katthemmet)
2. Fill in the registration of interest that is linked in the confirmation e-mail you receive from us at the reservation
3. When we have received your registration of interest, you will get an e-mail confirming that your visit is booked
4. At the cat shelter you will meet one of the adoption volunteers and write an application for adopting one/two of the cats you have met
5. If your application is approved by our adoption coordinator, you may make a reservation for the cat and take the next step: Book a re-visit to the reserved cat (Återbesök - tingad katt)
We only adopt indoor cats, i.e. cats that always must be kept indoors. The only exception is for certain cats and if your home is in a very safe and rural area, typically more than 400 meters from any major road/railroad
Any balcony/pateo must be enclosed (netting/glassing) before the cat is delivered to your home
We only adopt cats to homes within a 40 kilometers driving distance from the cat shelter in Jälla. Only in rare cases, an exception can be made
We do not adopt single kittens. If you have no cat before, you need to adopt two kittens or an adult cat and a kitten
You must be prepared to receive the cat within 7-14 days after it has been booked on your behalf
